SKC President Lee, Wan-jae takes part in “Thank-you Challenge” campaign

All SKC members including President Lee, Wan-jae have taken part in the “Thank-you Challenge,” expressing gratitude to and rooting for the medical staff and people striving to overcome the COVID-19 situation. 

 

 


The “Thank-you Challenge” is a campaign started by the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) to overcome the COVID-19 situation. Those taking part in the campaign are supposed to post their photo expressing gratitude with a hand gesture and a message of encouragement, and then pass the relay baton to someone close to them. Initially, the campaign was for the medical staff working to overcome the situation caused by the pandemic but later came to include people considering the importance of people’s cooperation.

 

President Jeon, Hae-sang of the Toray Group passed the relay baton to SKC President Lee, Wan-jae and the employees of the Company, and its investee businesses came to take part. The participants include the employees at SKC’s headquarters and business places in Suwon and Jincheon, SKC Solmics, SK Picglobal, SKC Hi-Tech & Marketing, and even SK Nexilis, which became SKC’s affiliate this year.

 

For his part, Mr. Lee, Wan-jae passed the baton to President Jang, Hui-gu of KOLON Industries, President Shin, Jeong-won of the TOTAL Group, and President Lee, Ji-eun of Microsoft Korea.

 

“I feel deeply grateful to the medical staffs who are working their fingers to the bone to take care of COVID-19 patients. I would like to convey encouraging words to them from the bottom of my heart. All of us at SKC will observe the anti-pandemic guidelines and do what we can to develop highly functional materials against the prevention of the spread of the pandemic,” Mr. Lee, Wan-jae said.
