SKC Eco-solutions enters highly-functional, architectural interior films business in earnest

 

 

  • SKC introduces interior products this year, following the introduction of exteriors d last year, displaying its lineup for architectural interior/exterior films.

  • SKC’s highly functional products won the MOE’s eco-label in recognition of their low content of harmful substances and their antibiotic and antipollution effects.

 

SKC Eco-solutions (President: Kim, Hyeong-jung), an affiliate of SKC specializing in environmentally-friendly film, introduced SKC Eco-Deco Film to the market at the end of March. This innovative new product is a highly-functional, environmentally-friendly architectural interior film that can be used instead of paint. With the launch of this product, the company is now equipped with a full lineup of architectural interior/exterior films, following its introduction of an exterior film last October.

 

SKC Eco-Deco Film is strongly resistant to salt, chemicals, and pollution as its outer surface is composed purely of fluorine. It has won the Ministry of Environment (MOE)’s eco-label in recognition of its environmentally-friendliness, as no heavy _ meta_l, toluene or formaldehyde was used in its production. Boasting excellent durability and functionality, and an expected service life of more than 20 years, SKC Eco-Deco Film is known as the only architectural film that can display a wide range of touches including _ meta_l, marble, timber, etc.

 

SKC Eco-Deco Interior Film has the diverse functions required for an interior material. For instance, it has won the anti-fungal performance grade-1 certification from SGS, an international certification agency, in recognition of its effects effectiveness in reducing Staphylococcus aureus by 97% and pneumococcus by 51.4%, and the anti-inflammability certification from the Korea Fire Institute. It also offers the advantage of reducing architectural waste as a film that can be attached to existing interior materials.

 

To commemorate the introduction of the film to the market, SKC Eco-solutions supported for the work of the film attachment to the walls, ceilings, and doors of a large kindergarten in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, thereby making the facility a safer, more hygienic place. The company now plans to expand the scope of its application to hospitals, nursing facilities, and schools where people’s health and safety needs to be taken care of more particularly.
